Last Friday and Sunday our Rocks Centre opened their doors to the public for the first time as part of our Open Day. Our staff were overjoyed to play with all the visiting children and meet their parents.

Being in such a convenient location, we had a great turn out on Friday as parents dropped by on their lunch break. Parents had such an amazing time on the Friday that they were overjoyed to hear they could come back on Sunday and bring their whole family along!

With the sun beaming down over the harbour on Friday and Sunday our Open Days were in full swing, beginning with a sausage sizzle and some delicious refreshments. This gave the parents a chance to meet one another and ask our educators any questions they had about Little Kingdom Childcare or The Rocks centre. Meanwhile, the children enjoyed building sand castles and playing with toy trucks in our world-class sandpit that overlooks the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

After the scrumptious sausage sizzle, parents joined their children and enjoyed in all the fun activities we had on offer. As you can see from our photos, this included a petting zoo, face painting and balloon twisting to name a few!

Face painting was such a hit among the children and parents that by the end of the day everyone had faces like lions, fairies and superheroes. Not to mention, the children really enjoyed petting all the baby farm animals and taking photos with the ducks.

It was such a wonderful day filled with laughter and great conversation and we want to thank our wonderful staff at Little Kingdom Childcare who were busy bees in the weeks leading up to the Open Days. Without you, The Rocks’ Open Day would not have been such a great success. We also want to thank all the lovely families who attended The Rocks’ Open Days and shared in the family fun, creating timeless memories.
